Not really. The reason I used to do that is because over here, when people would interview for multiple openings, they'd take a long time to decide which job to go for. This resulted in the recruiters being annoyed about waiting for them(and in some cases, the candidate in question would choose another job). So that line is just to let them know that you give their job opening the highest preference and you won't hesitate to accept the job if you were selected.

I'm hoping to start a Heritage Studies course (pending an interview) this September, so It should be somewhat similar I guess. I was doing a Business course some years ago but never really got into it. History was always my favourite subject in secondary school (highschool) so I've decided to just go for it before I'm too old

That's good enough. If your interviewer is different from the one you last spoke to, then make sure you emphasize that point again. Leaves a good impression.

Yes I know that's usually always the case, but it's how he said it. He told me he was going to call me before I decided to call him and that I was on the shortlist with just one other applicant. Then he just asked when I could come in, when would suit me, and we would just have a chat. I'm probably getting ahead of myself but I think have it in the bag, he just needs to make sure I'm not a nutter

Then texted me asking where am I because I am missing in action. I ignored, then she called, Ignored Then she whatsapped me and asked me where am I, and if I am well, she is worried. Then i texted her back and told her that I left because I was annoyed with her constant talking on the phone.

You have to draw lines. Some people are total electronic amateurs and don't know when to turn off. If the other person is cool with that, that's one thing. But in your case, you were totally justified. You may as well been sitting at the bar whacking off to photos of Aletta Ocean for all she was giving you attention.
