I have tried and yes they are difficult but not impossible. What is impossible to replicate however is the flavour from when you buy from an actual doubles vendor. Home made ones are not even 1/4 of the quality or the taste. At least not the ones I made.

And, yes, I believe cumin is one of the ingredients.
