Didja Poznan in her Krakow? :klin:
I will when she visits in a few weeks....funny thing is she lives in Poznan

That explains the other side of the whole "stare at the ceiling and think of England" advice.

If I had to make a choice between sex with Wayne Rooney and a lobster, my inner thighs would be covered in pincer marks.
Never heard that statement in that context, I've heard to being used in multiple contexts of distress but the end is 'close your eyes and think of england/britain'....could be gay rape, genocide etc. etc.

Yo you've had Zachary's pizza right?

I've got a whole fuckin pizza in the fridge :weee:
Before Deneb called my coffee "dessert coffee", I've long called Zachary's "dessert pizza". That shit is whack crack. :agree: I envy you.

Being from Chicago, people may be surprised that I only ate thin crust growing up and only had the Chicago style stuff after I moved away. But Zachary's is exactly the kind of pizza that makes you cry when you compare it to 97% of the other stuff out there that passes for pizza.

Finished my two stat projects today, start a new one tomorrow :sergio:. One of my modules has set us a mini dissertation (3000 word research project) as 70% of the module mark - Tomorrow and saturday I need to sit down and read over 200 articles, code them and then enter the data in a stat program, analyse the data and then write it up + a literature review and methodology etc.

All my other modules set standard essays.

I swear you do more work in a week than I do in an entire semester.

I would like to say it will get better but it wont, its just going to get worse as i start doing my dissertation. This semester I have had 3 modules each with two bits of coursework + 4 workshops (worth 1.5% of my degree) each with a research project that take fucking hours and hours and hours to do.

If I were doing a PhD I wouldn't mind so much, but Im doing a taught MA...over a third of my marks in a taught degree should not be research. A research degree is valued higher and if im doing the work I should be getting one. Most MA dissertations are just academic analysis not entirely new research.

That might explain it, I'm only on my 3rd semester. But that does seem like rather much work for a MA o_O

Pretty windy here now - meant to be gust up about 70mph in the next wee while.

Lights have already flickered a couple of times.

Power had better stay on, because I really can't be fucked with the hassle if it goes off.

Already a heap of homes without power further south.
