Over the course of three days I drank Zatec, Oyster Stout, Captain Morgans n' coke, Guinness, Heineken, Vodka n' White, Mount Gay n' Coke, Long Island Ice Teas, Tequila and possibly one or two other beverages.

Literally the best thing in the world. It's literally 50% sugar 50% alcohol. I can't imagine it being too much different from drugs. You go fucking mental on it.
When I write essays I subtitle each section ie - 'Introduction', 'Role of the Internet', 'Conclusions' etc. To me its a clearer way or presenting and guiding an audience through an essay. Is it pretentious or 'un'-academic to use topical titles instead.
IE. I am looking at the role of the internet in the iran protests so the logical title is 'Role of the Internet' but I would prefer to call it 'It started with a tweet' to give it a more personal touch.
I titled the first section 'From Blogistan to The Green Movement' instead of 'Iranian Internet cultural context'

I think it is perfectly acceptable. That sort of thing is becoming more popular, and it really fits the tone as you are writing about something modern. If you had kooky titles for an essay on Chaucer, then it might stand out more as a bad thing.
I had a dream I was in my bedroom with a girl who I think was my girlfriend (fuck, she was hot) in the dream and I was about to get laid but my brother walked in and ruined the fun, I beat the shit out of him and then I woke up.
