This opening band called "Moon Hooch" (of all things) is pretty cool. Two saxophonists and a drummer, and they have a seriously heavy sound. Like Morphine gone all instrumental/experimental.

Mike Doughty, the headlining act, apparently found them in the NYC subway and asked if they wanted to tour with him.
