If you're dissing Led Zeppelin that's not ok.
Im not dissing them, im just pointing out the fact (everyone knows it) that they still the vast majority of there music, threw on some different lyrics and put in some pentatonic widdling that anyone can play.

If i could be arsed to find last months total guitar, theres an interview with Big Jim Sullivan, a massive session player that has appeared on over 1000 no 1 singles in the past 50 years - who gave Jimmy Page his break in the session world, in which he talks about how shitty it was how led zep did that and how jimmy page had so much more potential.

That's bullshit give me some examples. Led Zeppelins biggest asset is how unique their music is. You want to talk about repetitive, one-dimensional music see the Rolling Stones.

I am gonna save you the effort of arguing back with me, because you are wrong.

Look up the originals from that list and you will see what I mean.

Pink Floyd ripped off a lot of there music as well. Its more an issue of limitations and influences, apart from with led zep who shamelessly stole that music.

Compare these two -

Don't you fucking dare bring the stones into any musical debate, they revolutionised music for decades. A feat no other band has ever achieved or will ever achieve and they are still going and fucking rocking.

They are probably THE most important band in modern music history, fuck the beatles - they influence shit. Seriously look at people who cite the beatles as an influence and compare that with those that cite the stones.

How can you even think about saying they are repetetive? Give me some examples of songs that are repetetive....

Zepplin, Stones, Beatles, Floyd. All great bands. The whole conversation about which is better and why one should suck or who stole from whom is stupid. Just enjoy the music.

Those were just elaborate covers and Led Zeppelin never claimed them to be anything more. Who would be stupid enough to steal the main riff from and song and steal the name as well claiming that it was their own? There is much more of their music that is beautiful and creative. Their live performances were revolutionary. Something that no other bands were able to emulate.

I don't not like the Rolling Stones but they were no way near as creative or progressive as the Beatles. They kept it simple and after a few decades you begin to repeat yourself. Songs like Wild Horses and Angie are so simple and similar its a joke. Basic chord progressions anyone could play and everyone does play. Its funny that you just go 'fuck the Beatles' because all Stones fans diss the Beatles. They're immediately defensive that the Beatles were just much more ground breaking than the Stones were which is undeniable.
