I'll get it once I get through listening to Blue Oyster Cult. Still need to get so many of their albums.

You met him? Awesome! I imagine he's a cool guy to meet and talk to?
Yeah, he was cool. They had to postpone the concert for that night because he had a throat infection, but we talked for a few minutes about wine and music, and he signed a few of the bottles that I bought and took a couple of photos with us.

I love that you will sit down and listen to albums; people just don't do that anymore, I guess they don't have the attention span. But it's pretty cool :)

That's awesome! The only musician I've been able to meet was Joe Satriani's drummer when he was here. Pretty cool guy himself. And if autograph sessions count, then I met the guys from Opeth and got their shirt signed.

Then I'm not about to run down the list of singers/bands that I have met during my time. You will end up killing me.

Put it this way. Working in a Record Store in the late 80's whose owner was good friends with the concert promoter for the city of Providence during that time had great benefits.

I get lots of time to listen to music. Mostly all 8 hours at work, and about an hour while commuting. As for attention span, I guess I got that covered after listening to prog rock and prog metal albums spanning more than an hour. :D
Thanks guys, reading your posts about Genesis and the like has made me feel much less old :)
Son, you're freakin' 21!!! You're not old at all! Get a grip!
I'm currently listening to Rage for Order in its entirety as we speak.
And I'm listening to O:M.

I need something new, but I have kind of exhausted all of the avenues in my areas of interest. I need to branch out.
Exhausted? Really?

Well that's what you get for living in the US and me in India! :D

This is like that discussion about who's a real fan.
Fake fans? Wow. That sounds a great topic. We should start a thread about those here on the Tuz.

Sheik, I love you, but please, Van Halen videos with David Lee Roth only.

My stomach thanks you in advance
:lol2:

Though I like Jump, DLR and the video gay!
The video guy is admittedly very cool. (The cursing Italian one in the ATBL clip. Can't say much about the video gay.)

I'm shocked that you don't have Rage for Order, though.
Rage for Order should be on a must list if you like Queensryche.

On a different note who's coming up with these names? They are terrible. Rock. Metal. You'd think it was an Aristotelian classification system. "The four elements of life."
 Astute observation. Only Martin can take a step back like that and question the logic.

How do you feel about neo soul music?
I like soul, so I imagine I'd be well-placed to like neo soul?

What genres do you listen to?
Depends on the day, but my big ones are motown, English rock of the sixties (The Stones, The Kinks, The Animals, The Small Faces etc.), glam rock (T Rex, Roxy Music, David Bowie), just about anything made in the 80s, then all of the mod revival stuff like The Jam.

Hard to describe, really.

Shut it, young'un. We had records when I was little :shifty: God knows what Greg had. A player piano and a book of Sunday favourites? ;)
