Billy noted that the lengua is tasty. It's very tender. I didn't have the stomach to eat eyeball tacos, however.

Byrone -- you of all people, living in the land of African cafés where some bars serve up a sheep's head, should not feel foreign to the concept. :D
I'm not but it's not like i've indulged in chicken feet or pork knuckles.:D

I basically bailed out. The main investor got shaky with their commitments and I saw all sorts of projects I'd be on get cancelled. I sensed doom was coming, and it would only be a matter of time before my expensive head was on the block, so I jumped ship. This was back in May.

Then a week ago today my former company announced laying off 40% of their staff. So I can't say I didn't see it coming.
Ouch, fortunately for you, you have a strong woman to stand by your side & give you support. Most women would be freaked out. Times are tough & this recession is faaaar from over.

I'm still looking right now. At my level, there are fewer positions and the lead time is much, much longer because they're looking for cultural fit, having you meet everyone in the company including the janitor, etc.
I'm sure you'll find something soon.

I talked with Dus. You? meh! :p
Ouch.:depressed

:weee: Sweet. Said company just called and really liked me. So my next step (this will now be step 5 of a series, mind you) is they're going to fly me up to Portland, OR next week to meet the team there.

Ah, the next hurdle in this gauntlet...

I completely agree. Places that do basically one thing and do it well are often exceptional at it.

Well we knew that one was out there for the taking. ;)
Sheep's head is a common dish in Libya. I've eaten eyeballs, they're not half as bad as they look or sound. Quite tasty actually. The tongue and brain aren't bad either.

No wonder you only see penis when watching porno's. Is eating cow tongue considered weird for everybody else? Pickled tongue is delish.

Just returned an hour ago after visiting my friend. Human emotions is so fascinating. So is how different people deal with different situations. Thankfully, he seemed to be handling it pretty well. Gonna be with him tomorrow too until his dad is cremated.

Never expected this for my weekend!
