That's funny math, buddy. 6 movies does not make a trilogy.
If I had to pick one, I'd have to go all arthouse on you and pick Krzysztof Kieślowski's Three Colors trilogy. Every one of those flicks are solid and can stand on their own as great films -- without embarrassments like
The Matrix Revolutions or the ewoks in the
Revenge of the Jedi.
What's the deal with trilogies? Why do people not ask, "What's your favourite duology?"
Because when the third one is
Revolutions or ewoks, the crowd of contenders thins fast.
