I am reviewing some of these Letters of Intent for joint USA-India technology grants and scoring them on a variety of criteria. Some of the cooler ones concern the use of mobile (SMS, etc.) technology to provide rural Indian farmers with data about commodities markets, weather, crop data, etc. But some of them have Monsanto (India) involved with them, which is basically a poison pill in my book.

But damn... who knew Kolkata had their own "Salt Lake City"...

What's it like?
Never been there, but since its Kolkata, you can safely assume it'll be overpopulated and hell :D
I remember the place because of the Salt Lake Stadium which is the largest in the country holding 120,000 people. Who'd believe that India has such a large football stadium.

Yamen, it's rented? More importantly, how the hell are you going to ride that in the middle of the summer?
