Not really, throwing out insults, using racial slurs, etc can put people off even if it's over the internet. Whether you realize it or not, the way you post or present yourself through your posts is a reflection of yourself. Whether it's a true reflection is debatable. Being some loud, brash guy is going to garner a sort of reaction.
