In other words, just close my eyes and try to relax like if I was trying to sleep?
Nah you have to be sitting up on something with back support. What you are supposed to do is close your eyes inhale and exhale deeply. When you first start the only way to really relax your mind is by counting each breath you take so that you focus on that and nothing else.

It's tough at first but it gets easier everytime you do it.
