I don't care if they think I'm racist. Car bombs are the shit.:weee:
:agree:

Jagerbombs too.
We had a professor visiting from Princoton university. He gave 3 seminars. After the 2nd seminar the depratment had a reception for him in a country club. Then we all went to an Irish pub for the after party. He got wasted on carbombs. He didn't know what they are in the beginning :D.

I'll bet he knows now! My mates and I came up with another car bomb which consists of a pint of Milwaulkee's Best and shot of Everclear/Diet Mountain Dew.

There is a St Patrick's Day dog parade going on outside. When I walked by a man in a greed dress was judging dog costumes. :sergio:
It's not St. Patrick's Day!
March 13th is St. Patrick's Day in dog years.

OK, it's the Ides of March too. Which means death to Cesar. Meaning: Roma should have been playing Inter today. :(

I hate people that celebrate St Patty's on the weekend instead of getting up a 6:00am in the middle of the week to get plastered like the rest of us.
Like the Irish need to wait until the weekend to drink.

Man, whatever you all do, if you have a question about your partner, please don't get married.

I'm struggling with a good friend whose marriage has come apart suddenly after years together. But now the guy is on my doorstep every other day. I am doing my best to see and support the guy, but he's taking up 4-5x of my free time as he usually would. It's now getting hard for me to see other friends, do things around the house, watch a football match now and then...

Look, I'm your friend and all, but I'm not your wife!

The Ides of March is the 15th.
 I stand corrected. I knew it was a day off from Pi day. (My birthday, btw. :p)

This reminds me of a classic computer science joke made from a Tim Bray statement...

“There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors."

It's a Monday. Can't get too nice. But I am heading up for a long weekend in Yosemite Nat'l Park with my wife starting Thursday. I haven't been in a long time. The last time I was there, my wife and I camped in the rain, cooking food in a bear box to prevent our mini-stove from getting wet, and we woke up with our tent sitting on a small stream running underneath us as it ran downhill.

This time we're staying in the Ahwahnee Lodge the day after it finishes a refurb -- it's going to be a world of difference.

Sounds good, though. That place looks gorgeous. Have a great time :)

Greg, how'd you meet your wife? Tell us the story. :)
It sounds common now, but it wasn't back then. We actually met online. It was in 1995, before there were any real dating Web sites out there. I was working for a lab at Stanford and she was working at the UC Davis Med Center. We hooked up in a chat forum not terribly unlike the Tuz here, and we were each seeing other people at the time. We hit it off as friends really well, our bfs/gfs disappeared from the picture, and one thing lead to another from there.
