Bisco, did you hear that Egypt and USA are playing on Feb 9th in Egypt?
nope this is new to me bro!! :) should be a good game, the last game these two had was pretty good although egypt barely showed up to the game bec the usa team is pretty good phsyically and the lads in der pharoahs where pretty washed out after two strong displays against brazil and italy last year. should be nice though. i do rate yr team they have what it takes to really compete although in this summers world cup they did'nt display how strong they were compared to there performance in the confed cup

highlight of my night my best friends girl who is algerian/french and lives in england cracked a joke about the uk losing the wc bid to russia and that led to more jokes about germany vs england i think she would've made half the forum proud!!! :D

that was her ice breaker with me considering its the first time we meet :D after that i got along perfectly with her.

It's a friendly so I'm sure we'll play a lot of young guys to see if they're ready for the Gold Cup in the summer.

Should be a good game and atmosphere.

:agree: i think its part of the preparation for the caf for egypt too, specially that half the current squad is getting replaced by newer and younger players so its a good chance to try out these new kids. believe it or not i've never been to a der pharoah game live :D i've been to games for my domestic club but never the national side usually i never get tickets at the right time bec its too much of a hassle to get good tickets for there games here. so u never know this might be a first if i ever go considering its in my mid year break.

Nah, back in the States now. Flew back around last weekend.

SA is on holiday today... though I guess it's already tomorrow there.
that does'nt sound bad at all, its a pretty tiring flight though!! i read some where u had to stay at dubai for ages before u can board again to head back to the states.

i honestly dont know when the week end is for SA but i know tomorrow and sat are off here so i'm guessing here its the same down at B's.

edit: i did tell a friend of mine how u had to stay in dubai int for more than 6 hours and he felt soo much better for only spending 6 hours at frankfurt int before hitching a flight back to canada.

The flight is pretty bad. I flew Sydney to L.A. (like in the TV show Lost) once and thought that was bad. It's nothing.

Going East I stay over in Dubai overnight. Not necessarily for ages, but Emirates even puts you up in a hotel, the flight is so long. The hotel itself is a real mix around the world. Last time, it was heavy on people from Senegal and the Ivory Coast.

The stay is a good break. You get to walk around and have a normal meal between a 15-1/2-hour flight and a 9-hour flight.

At B's, the 16th is a national holiday called Day of Rememberance. It's basically a politically correct repurposed one that used to stand for the Boers who killed off the Zulus in a bloody battle some 250 years ago. Things change.

to be honest after reading this i have to agree with u about it being great that u catch a breather between both flights so u can rest abit bec sitting for too long is horrible i def know how it feels to be stiff for hours at a time. the friend i was telling u about spent 6 hours at frankfurt int on his way to toronto but when his flight landed everything that serves food or cigs was closed bec his flight arrived at 1 am so it was a horrible expierence for him ( he was caught un=prepared too bec he never imagined the shops would be closed :D) but compared to yr flight i think any sane person would welcome a stay at a hotel in between both long flights with arms wide open.

how often do u have to take this trip swag??

oh i never knew that about SA this is the firs time i find out about the significance of the 16th of december
