A non-profit organization that was founded to protect the rights of individuals. They analyze cases like this, write articles, send lawyers to help individuals in unreasonable cases (like being sued by Apple for jailbreaking a device and stuff like that).

Can I just point out that Verizon doesn't even operate in most of the world.

What's at stake is US regulation, so theoretically it has little to do with us. Unfortunately, "the internet" is tied to the US government in important ways, so it most likely will have a greater impact.
