Eons ago a friend and I started a mock company called MicroProgz. We barely knew anything about programming, but we were under the influence of the shareware trend and put out some really useless shareware applications. In particular, I was really excited about the concept of cryptography, albeit not to any mathematical extent, just to code silly algorithms that seemed to do a really good job if you wanted to manually decode the plain text.

XXX Filez 2K was our "flagship" application, and apparently our exuberant marketing actually fooled some people into thinking it did something useful, as we received a few requests about it.

Not surprising at all. Just wanted to confirm. I've read links when you posted them here, but never looked at the whole thing. Seems like you have spend quite some time on it. I have always wanted to have a blog myself, but laziness always gets the better of me

I agree that it is a problem. I wholeheartedly agree for more jobs to be available to the Americans. But the problem has been created by the policies of the American government, not the Indian IT firms. They just took an opportunity where it is available. So calling one of the most reputed IT firms in the world a chop shop is a retarded comment, especially coming from a senator.

Quite hypocritical by Obama there. Now he can outsource jobs for even lesser cost in Sri Lanka and the likes.

Well, it's a chop shop when compared to real American labor before outsourcing. But yes, these guys are hypocrites, like all scum of the earth politicians.
