was out of PC for 3 days...i didn't had a cd-rom to install windows..then i struggled somehow to borrow one, then the cd wasn't good, cause i needed xp 2nd edition not the 1st edition...then i didn't had enough cables to put that cdrom in, then i installed "easy driver" and gave me a fatal error, so i installed windows again...so in the end i have those precious 20 giga of music but i lost 6 giga of pictures...all my juve pictures, wallpapers, crops and everything + my pics ..but that doesn't matter too much. What can i learn from all of these? external hardrive and a new pc is needed.

And that you need an Ubuntu LiveCD so that you can backup data when windows crashes :smile:

i know...but i'm used to windows, and i don't think all the games i play can run on ubuntu.

No, no, no. You got me wrong. When windows crashes you can use the Ubuntu LiveCD (no install required) to pull data off the hard drive and onto an external disk for example.
