Btw have you ever done any "cross country" biking? I was a little dismayed a few years ago to find out that a run of the mill mountain bike (which is what I'm used to) isn't really very good for that. It tops out at maybe 50, cause there aren't gears high enough to keep pushing. I'm pretty sure those racing bikes (though I don't like them for being more fragile) are better in that sense.
