You live alone? Niiice. Do you own a place or you just rented a room on campus?

nope i live in my parents house all by myself. its nice in the fact u have your own rules, no one bugs u, no one tells u what to do or what not to do, but it sucks in a lot of other aspects imo. the obvious one being not having any one to cook yr fav meals, nor any one to take care of the house etc. its a big respponsibility too bec u have to focus on yr studies, your self, your health, etc when i go to my parents i realize how lucky i'am that i live on my own but i tend to miss the family life after 6 months of being here.

p.s living oncampus is def waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than living on yr own thats for sure!! considering u have a room mate who is probably yr age and thats more fun. a lot of the palestinans, jordanians, saudi, kuwait's going to my uni live on campus and sometimes i drop by there place to study and we never actually get shit done bec we r always laughing and fooling around

Living alone has it's advantages and disadvantages but especially for us Arabs it's more of a difficult time due to the close relationship we've with our family and how our daily life almost always interacts in our life and by family I don't only mean the close one.

thats sooooooooooooooo true regarding us arabs!! sometimes i feel we r lucky in certain aspects but then i think our life is made harder this way. we r always put under pressure too instead of being taught how to think for our selves and make our own moves.

as for getting mates, well the problem here is all my friends live with there friends and the parents dont really feel comfortable with some one else being here as for chicks at my place u know bro how things work in this region!! if a chicks goes up to yr place even if u two will sit and do an assignment u get annoying ass nieghbors giving u mean looks or disgusting looks as if its written on my forehead that i'm going to jump on her its the same for you if not worst considering u have this issue with sharef ( it does'nt get this far here unless the chick is from a lower class but rarely u get crap unless off course from her dad which is a totally different case )

Hell, if I didn't have an annoying father to keep the "book order" then I bet I would have failed almost every class I registered the past year so you're doing well mate, even if your parents disagree, don't mind them that's what you should always expect from them
