Actually, I didn't realize Nick was 19. I assume he lives with his parents? And I think you guys don't have to deal with paying for gas constantly, insurance, etc.

That's part time pay? Jesus, that's a lot :D You guys got it made.
sorry i meant full time long term as in that couldnt be a future job for me, i work 40 hours a week to earn that :(, but its cool because its for travelling.

I like San Francisco, but I'm not a fan of LA.
As are the other 6 million of us around here.

The thing that has always annoyed me when in America is how incredibly insincere most people are.

SF was slightly less bad for that than other places I've been to.
Yeah, but people are pretty much to themselves here. Unfriendly. I forget when I visit other parts of the country. Last Christmas I was back in Chicago and people just start talking you up at the urinal in the men's room like you're best friends.

That crap never happens here -- if someone talks to you, you presume they're asking for money or should be kicked in self-defense.

Like anal beads with salt?

You could be describing someone from Aberdeen going to Glasgow there.

That must be why I felt comfortable in SF.

I have just found a newly renovated, clean, and spacious house with a nice porch and backyard to share with 2 other graduate student for a great price and only steps from university campus. I am just waiting for the landlord to get back to me :D

I got my exam results.

I failed Physics and Math(s) but I kind of expected that. I'll have to repeat them.

I passed Computing Systems, Algorithms & Information Systems, Programming, Fundamentals Of Electronic Engineering, and Next-Generation Technologies though.
