we can hope england dont, and loving the sig kyle +rep
For sure, a comfortable US victory and a draw in the England game would be ideal and enough to see us top the group with England going home.

and thanks the football matches are just such a distraction from this summer's vuvuzuela concerts. BBBZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!
England goes through along with who? The US?
Of course, you can't expect us to lose to the Algerians? If either favored team is going home it is England.

Giova!!! What did you think about the Italy game? You think Italy has chance of going through?
Well hard to believe that we would manage to score even if the game was destined to be 180mins long.
Can't believe how good their keeper was. On the other hand these NZs are bunch of amateurs and it is really a shame that it ended like this...Italian team can eat them alive , I really can't explained what happened.
Many blame Lippi for this (he threw away first half of the game 2 times in a raw, he didn't call Cassano, Rossi or Candreva etc, he is using Marchisio out of his position) which is true actually, but I think that the problem is much deeper than this mentioned, simply the players quality is not as it was at the previous competitions.
But no matter what this team has potential at least to beat NZ by 2 or 3 goal difference.

You asked me about the chances of going through...well I'm still the optimist (never expected this team to repeat the success Italy did 4 years ago, but didn't expect the fiasco as well).

Pure Awesomeness. WC atmosphere is great over there, and the hotel i was staying in was full of Brazilians, i went to the Brazil game with them, and it was real fun. Brazilian gals >>>>>> The rest of the world :lick:
Only in your dreams, Fred. :p

I thought i was going to hate them, and to be honest, sometimes you can't even hear yourself thinking because of how loud those things are, but believe it or not, they add to the atmosphere in the stadium, and i don't think they are as bad as people make them out to be.
Aha! See. People complaining about vuvuzelas, saying it kills the atmosphere of the games, are primarily fat slobs watching at home on TV -- not the people going to the matches themselves. :D

I'm looking forward to the Cape Town semifinal I'll be at on July 6.

You are? Man that is great, i'm sure you're going to love it. From then on, we can refer to ourselves as people who go to matches and not fat slobs watching it at home on tv :D

I was going to say that I am not a fat slob and my excuse is that I live really far away but then Swag and I would most likely be flying out of the same airport... so I guess I'm just a fat slob.

I strongly disagree.

Watching a shitty League of Ireland match in the stadium >>>> watching a Champions League/WC match on TV.
Being at the match and watching a team you care about always beats watching a game on TV involving teams you don't really care about, no matter the different standards of football.

Yeah, that was my point.

Although, I even went to the big Dublin derby this season and it was much better than watching a big match from my couch.
