Just dress up and go, gay bars are funny, still disgusting to see men humping each other and making out. My buddy's girl friend picked a night club on her birthday last year, and we didn't know that it was a gay bar until we got in. So we stayed and I thought they had better music than the regular night clubs. The gays were nice and once you tell them you are hetero sexual they will not bother you at all.
