What does chemistry have to do with computer science?
Nothing. But some bureaucrat decided that in every engineering college in the country the future engineers would all have certain classes in common, no matter what their field was. Chemistry was one of them. Physics. Law. The chemistry class we did alongside people from Logistics.

I feel you. I hated the electives I had to take in undergrad (social science and etc)
Not electives, mandatory. If only it were an elective. *sigh*

I just bought some Polish style perogies, cook them with butter and onions and some sour cream on the top. :drill:
Oh hey that's good stuff!

Did you go for that Bio-informatics stream Martin? Coz here we've the option to add both Chemistry and Biology as electives to our program yet we don't have to unless we go for that stream.

It has to do with programmers who opts to go for the Bio section as in designing programs for medical, Chemistry,...etc labs.
Are you nuts? In school there was nothing I hated more than biology. Never in my life would I choose that.

Later on in life I actually had to work with some bio informatics people and they were cool, but I never was made to learn the biology of it.

Why do you work on ambulance anyway, I thought you were a firefighter not a nurse :p

Well I quit my half time job, I no longer can keep up with the amount of hours it requires and my study hours. No regrets so far :)

i'm a paramedic too ... a smurd fireman (smurd comes from: mobile emergency service for resuscitation and extrication)..

:( too bad to hear that..last time you said that you have some friends there and all things go well but i understand your decision. Studies are more important.
