Good for him. Hope he wins the suit.
    There's no way.

That's like suing the people that made Jarhead saying it was based on you because you were a Marine Sniper and never got an attempt to shoot anyone in the first Gulf War.

There are release clauses and small type for shit like this.

Except that Jarhead is based on the guy who wrote it.

This is completely different, Boal was with the unit and wrote an article, then went on to write a screenplay based on those experiences. He probably didn't get the consent of the unit he travelled with because 1) they were still in Iraq when the movie was written, when he was with the unit he was doing an article. It was unlikely that Boal realized 5 years later he'd have a Best Picture winner. 2) he probably didn't think he'd need to get consent since the film didn't gain a distributor until this past summer, remember the film was released September of 2008.

Now that it's made some money I think there will be a small settlement (most likely paid by distributer) out of court. The Hurt Locker hasn't pulled anywhere near to Avatar's number, but this guy will probably get a couple million.

My dad is on a business trip in Salt Lake City and he loves it out there. I'd love to hit up that place for a week and ski. Guy also went to Park City and got some free drinks. "Business". :disagree:

Alcohol is ultra-controlled and bars, if they serve alcohol other than just beer, close at like 8 or 9 pm. Also beer can't be over 3 or 4% or some shit like that.

    Plus it is extremely expensive.
Hmm, my pops was talking to a local from Salt Lake and then moved to Maryland, and she said that everything from real estate to food is "half price" in Utah.

But I can see why they would be Jews with regard to alcohol. And not your cousins, the goddamn Mormons.

I bet Andy wants to go there and become a mormon
As long as you and Paola and her cute sister come with me to be my wives. The Venezuelan trio.

Any USA fan who argues against goal-line technology is a moron. With it, we would have scored in the quarters in 2002 and Frings would have seen red. We probably would have advanced to the semis.

There's no reason not to have it.
