Getting excited about the Nor'Easter coming our way. Southern PA, Central MD and the Northern panhandle of WV are very close to the bullseye. The low is projected to deepen quite substantially off the coast of Virginia, sending in tons of moisture. The problem is there will be quite a gradient in the precip shield, creating a sharp cut off from the heavy snows to the North of the storm. What we need is a more Northerly track than what the model consensus is showing now, which we have a good chance of seeing. In all the storms this winter, the models have forecast too much of a Southerly route.

We could see 2 to 3 inches of water equivilent from this powerful system, meaning two to three feet of snow. It's just that the band of 3 feet is very narrow. Hopefully we'll get that sorted out soon.

Good news! My parents are finally getting sick of me still living with them so they are open to paying my rent and other expenses if I find myself an affordable place. Right now I'm looking at moving into a Frat on the Berkeley campus, even though I'm not a student they said I could rent a room as a boarder and if I decide to go to Cal later on I can pledge. I guess my parents really don't trust me with their house whenever they leave...
