We also do some "deserts" only for X-mas and I won't even try to right their names down because it's in dialect. They're damn good though.

Imagine having Dusan at Christmas dinner....
He'd finish us off.:scared:

I'd understand if some of the traditional complainers eat gourmet meals everyday, but some eat junk food & tv dinners religiously & have the nerve to be snotty. The bloody nerve.:D

Just get one of those seved legged turkeys. :D

Then again, it's Xmas, so fights are bound to happen about something.
:D

Oh it's tradition in my family to fight over something during christmas.:D Usually it involves me but i'll be cooking & i'll be too busy to cause havoc.

Although i love making a huge mess for my kid sisters to clean up.You should see their reactions to a filthy kicthen & the huge pile of dishes to wash. It's absolutely priceless.:howler:

My dad does that all the time, yet eats whatever he's complaining about. :D
Calabrese origins.

easy one is scaletti and the other hard ones are cudrurieggri :sergio: and turdidggri. :sergio: Well, they sound like that. :D
Ohh, I won't know it then, I'm not Calabrese.

Those mofos are deep fried. Some have icing on them, others honey mixed with white wine.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! I think my Abruzzese nonna calls them crostoli, but they differ from the real crostoli on my dad's side (the Venetian kind). They look like donuts and they have rosemary in them, right?

no but I've heard about those. We have one looking like donuts but with icing mixed with some kind of alcohol.

You guys should write down those recipes & save them because your nonna's wont be alive forever.Chances are your future wives, will be utterly useless in the kitchen.

Than again Italian men would never marry a woman that can't cook.:D

Don't worry,my dad's exactly the same.:D Too lazy to get up & get it himself & too lazy to give a compliment.

I'm undecided on dessert though.I know i have to make trifle, tiramisu & chocolate sauce pudding but not sure about the rest.
You're making 3 different cakes? How many more do you need? :D Make a lemon poppyseed cake. :lick:

They're written down, but they need to be translated and not from Italian, either. Instead, they write the recipes down phonetically with words like "bakeen flaor". You should see the grocery list: "anidu" for honeydew melon. :sergio:

:agree:

I've had the go make it yourself or order it discussions a couple of times. Conclusion: I'm single.

Having a lady make you something is one of the best feelings a guy can have. To you ladies out there, go see your nonna or mamma and let them show you a thing or 2 about cooking. Your men will love you forever! :D

Of course we can help. In today's world it's 50/50 right? So you cook it and we'll eat it. :snoop:

:p
