Yes and it will lead to imbalances. You'll overwork your pecs. Like they all do. Add to that that very little athletes actually need to be able to produce big numbers when bench pressing. American Football and rugby players come to mind I guess.
Yeah but who's to say he hasn't got a well balanced work out routine? What you said is true of people who over train, or train their biceps and pecs more. He's just saying that he enjoys training his pecs and biceps more then other exercises that he probably does do. Everyone has favorite exercises or favorite muscles to train.

Come on. How many people who go to the gym and really like to bench press have a balanced body? I mean, people who don't go the gym already tend to have an imbalance with their pecs rotating their shoulders. I too bench press, but most people do it way too much. My favorite exercise are pullups by the way.
Does that mean I can assume that your lats are disproportionately larger then the rest of the muscles in your body? You know what I'm saying.
