I got some more Tyskie and Peroni.

Martin, on the packaging they claim Tyskie is Poland's number one beer. How have you not tried it?

Disclaimer: I know that just because something says it's the best, doesn't mean it is.

Well it's not. As far as I know Żywiec has most market share, most aggressive marketing etc etc.

Well what have we here, wikipedia?. Owned by Heineken. No wonder they know how to sell. Also sez:

Żywiec is by far the most popular beer in Poland
It's nothing special btw.

Well, having the largest market share doesn't mean it's the best. I'd assume that Budweiser and Coors are the most distributed beer in the US, and certainly the most advertised, but it's not anywhere near the best in terms of taste and quality. They just advertise as such. The best is probably Sam Adams or something of the sort.

I'll have to try Zywiec sometime if I can find it.

There is no best. Every producer will claim their beer is the best, so I very much doubt that is what Tyskie was trying to tell you. Most likely they were scamming you.

You know Amstel? That's what I like best.

Well, I personally like Tyskie, so it's not really a scam. It's also not a scam when one of their six packs sells for $6 here in a special, the same price for some American piss.

Amtsel is OK, but I prefer others.
