The Metro is ready, its making more people use public transportation. But still culturally, public transportation is not that popular with UAE residents.

We also are getting a nice taste of corporatism/fascism. But people think it's socialism when the government takes your money and gives it to a select few big banks.

It will be a long time before that happens.

But there's more. Prisons is another socialist scheme. Courts convict people for silly things and there are ever more people in jail. Therefore you need more jails. Therefore you need to build more jails in communities with few employment opportunities so that the people living there have something to do. And what is the enabler for this employment? Why the state, naturally. It's tax money paying for those jails, the jail staff. Booyah, socialism again.
