The info is that our house is a mess because noone cares enough to keep it clean. Which drives me up the wall. Of course I'm guilty too but people always like to blame others. And I do happen to think they are messier.

No, I have principles and itegrity, there's a difference. I'm not saying you shouldn't with the way the world is no longer a meritocracy, I just saying that on an ethical level it is rather execrable. How would you feel if someone who may be less qualified got than internship over you because of who they know?

I'm not trying to get into anything, I like your way of thinking from that post but I'm just being honest, I amn't going to go for internships in the Department of Foreign Affairs or a security analysis firm because I'd know I hadn't earned it.

I am not going to get preferential treatement because of my father, he can just get my application to the right people in the dept that i would be interested in going to, which would be the media and pr dept so i could meet as many people as i could in the vocation as i could. After that its down to me, my cv and my interview to get it. I think i would know from doing that, that i had earned it. I have principles and integrity aswell, my dad is fairly well off and so i my mum and i could live for free off hand outs from them, but i chose to work the summer doing 14 hours shifts 5 days a week in a pizza hut on a motorway so that i could take my gf on holiday and pay my way through uni as much as i could. Which is a hell of a lot more than i can say for some people i know.

Depends what but this one's really good. Mine is 1500e/year. It's kinda expensive knowing our financial situation but even public schools reached more than 1k euros a year. It's not a huge difference anymore, at least not here.

I don't buy that, or even better, I think it's just a nonsense. When you go on a private you get to know better your stuff, it's not really harder to get a job. People say that because everybody's getting fired now and it's hard to find a job without strong connections but they shouldn't mix it with private schools. Porsche Holding in Belgrade has 95% of their people with private schools so it's not really an issue.

Wow, Dule, that's not really expensive. Public schools here also cost around 1000€, perhaps a little less. But the private ones are 3,4 times more expensive.

Personally, I would never go to a private school because they're so expensive here, but if it was for your price....heck, I'd seriously reconsider college again.

Really? I would never say so...in my experience anyways. I'm a complete slob and so are my friends, but all my (girl)friends were almost always neat. Heck I even invite some of them to my beach house just so I wouldn't have to clean the place up when my parents come.

But these are balkan girls after all.

It's actually a pretty diverse degree employment wise, Obviously its a BA not a BSC but the stigma very much does not apply here, Bsc Politics student end up 90% in statistical analysis because of the way that they are taught, after all Politics is an art form not a Science, as is Law etc.

My course has an 80% first year post degree employment rate ( in sector jobs not just Mc Ds)
with a further 5% further education.

You can do any sort of analysis jobs with the degree, maybe not as well as the Scientists but I'm not going to pay them any heed (theres a fair bit of rivalry between us in the Law and Government schoo) You can also work for NGO's TNCs doing international work or Government/Supra-state roganisations such as the UN and the EU.

Also if you go down the Security Analysis route like I hope to with a masters in International Conflict Resolution, its an exploding sector at the moment and the demand for young bi-lingual people has led to ridiculous levels of headhunting and quite good slaraies (around 45K incremental with the increments being something like 10% which is six figures after 9 years!)

Anyway, there's a big difference in how people run their homes. If it's your own place you tend to care and keep it neat. I've seen this a lot and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with age or other things. But if you share with other people, and especially just random people who happened to get a room in the same house, it's gonna be a mess. Noone feels responsible for a shared space. And you have to hound people to clean up after themselves. Which they would do if it was their own place.

I know, it's strange...the difference is not much so I'd prefer to go here. Girls are hot too. (ja idem sa drugim smerovima, medija i kulture, a tamo picki kol'ko oces ). It's a first private college out here and it's really good, they have loads of cash. They opened one in the US like 2 weeks ago with high expectations, need I say more? I think it's going to be great.
