Unemployment rate rises worse than expected for the month of August in the US, up to 9.7%, the government numbers claim. The real unemployment rate is around 16%, because those gov clowns don't count people who gave up searching for work, trying to make things seem better than they really are. They also lied about July's number.

But hey, the economy is recovering! :howler:

People here gave up long time ago and it's pretty horrible. My mom is not working anymore.

If it's 16% then it must be ~25% if they count all, no? :shifty:

0.6% growth rate in Australia. BAM! And 3% in my state. We seem to have sheilded ourselves from the crisis via a series of stimulus packages but Chinas sustained demand for our commodities would have been instrumental.

The real real unemployment rate, U-6, is somewhere between 15 and 18%. Now, if you count people who only have part-time jobs and not full-time in the U-6, then it could be potentially around 25%.

We will soon get a taste of what you guys had/have to deal with.

I don't know :sergio:

Pretty much happened at the same time. I started favorising Juve when they played against Real in CL and he when they played and crushed Lazio like 10 years ago.
I feel your pain.

My brother is a Milan fan.

Primarily due to his worshipping Maldini.

I have a hard time believing the stimulus packages led to real growth. Could just be a mid-term spike.

Quantitive easing and government stimulus has never worked in the long run. Ask the Argies and Japanese how they have faired after their governments tried the same thing.

The funny thing about what we're doing now is that it's the same thing that Japan did in the early 90's. Our leaders told them to stay clear from taking the QE and stimulus route because it doesn't work, yet now we are trying the same thing despite our own warnings. :howler: It's such a joke.

You won't, ever...and I hope you won't becuase it sucks. Infra inflations, you can't even buy bread with your saleries and if you don't spend all money you got it's all vanished when you woke up, like you're in a new country. Criminal rate jumped dramastically. Many people got rich back then but of course they were all stealing somehow.

Speaking of brothers, where is you brother Martin? Paolo/Paul? was that his name?
Paul. I guess he doesn't like forums much. Still loves Serie A to death though, sends me long emails with his tactical analysis. Totally wasted on me, he should be posting those here instead.
