Indeed, that would be the logical first strike. But if you'd campaign on that premise, you'd either not get elected due to lack of funding or be assassinated. And even if you managed to dodge the sniper attack and audit the Fed, wage war on the financial terrorists on Wall Street, as soon as you come close they'd obliterate the markets themselves. They'd place all their capital short in the markets to drive down stocks and the US Dollar in a last-ditch effort to make the whole system collapse, because that's what those terrorists do.
The American people are held hostage by these freaks, but we're too lazy and hooked on MJ to do anything about it.

It's crazy that it's obvious that these crooks can do whatever they want and the American public is just watching without doing any action. There need to be some type of movement by the people, because if things stay like this say goodbye to the middle class. It will be like many 3rd world & communist countries only two class, the rich and the majority poor.
Although I'm not American ( I'm from Lebanon), but I have many family members who are American citizens and born in the USA. Some were really effected by the whole thing. Also my cousin just come back from Iraq. He joined the army after obtaining his university degree. He was able to find a job after 2 months looking around. I'm worried because of the whole situation and hoping that things will be ok for everybody

The only problem is that I'm not exactly in agreement with the Libertarians out there, as you know. Many of them are inspired by the words of "God." But what they do have going for them is more responsible foreign policy and auditing the Fed and their shenanigans on Wall Street. Perhaps their views on the environment are not in agreement with ours, but at least people like Ron Paul have a sound understanding of the monetary system and the current account, perhaps the most crucial entities when it comes to our sustainability as a super power.
I don't think it's a coincidence that the Republican party hate Ron Paul. That guy was totally against that faux war and those freaks couldn't accept it. Too bad. Those Repubs supported criminal activity.

Man, you're absolutely right. I was listening to a woman who lived in Romania under the same circumstances back in the 60's, and she claims we're heading that same direction.
Fact of the day: Instead of putting trillions of dollars to bailing out banks around Wall Street and the Globe, the government could have easily wiped out all household debt with one swoop of the pen. Imagine that. Sure, Goldman Sachs would have crashed the market and bankers would try to restrict capital loans, but everybody in the nation would not have this debt burden that caused this problem. It's all about debt.
We are quickly heading towards a oligopolistic, fascist state, IMO. We are the new serfs under supreme rule.
