1- not the biggest fan of spain, quite far from that.

realistically chances are stacked against the usa, but u never know with this tourney.
I was pretty disappointed with Italy losing badly vs Brazil. But the manner in which the USA qualified was pretty amusing. Before the match I had written a post about how Italy or Egypt could qualify. I had completely written off the USA and I think I wrote the USA can only qualify if a bizzare scoreline. Thats what exactly happened.
Btw I'm a big fan of the Azzurri. Call me a traitor or faux fan or whatever. I live in a country of a billion people but still can't even manage to qualify for the Asia cup. So I've to support somebody. Have been supporting Italy since '94, the first time I started watching football regularly on TV.

i never expected the usa to put 3 past my national team so it was a surprise. i knew the usa would win though considering they have better stamina but not 3.
i was waiting for Obama to call Bradley and tell him : "look bradley these Egyptian dudes have been superbly nice to me, they cleaned the roads, painted the walls, the cairo uni ( which was'nt painted for the past 100 years by the way), they toke me and that white bitch Hilary to some mosque god knows where ( if only seven knew lol), and they showed me some passionate love! so look Bradley lay off the good shit and let them thru."
rumor has it since mobile reception was poor during the game this call never went thru.
on a serious note this is footie, if u don't take yr chances u pay the price of not going thru that simple really.

Funny part is that I generally don't support the Indian cricket team these days, mainly because most of the players are overpaid and there seems to be a lot of bias in the selection process. My main reason is because football isn't given too much importance in this country because cricket is marketed like crazy. I don't hate the sport but I hate it that many talented footballers in this country don't reach anywhere because they aren't given due support.
