I wouldn't be caught dead riding one of those worthless things.

They are only for fat people who start losing their breathe walking.

Must be some pretty sturdy input materials.

I had my last school exam today. I'm completely finished! :weee:
Congratulations. I don't know what your school was like, but I found it annoying to be in a room eight hours a day with nothing to do. I mean, I could do the work in one hour instead of eight. The only lessons that were any fun were Greek literature. And at some point even the Iliad doesn't cut it anymore. For me it was all verbal fights with teachers to be honest.

Indeed.

I've never understood why folk say your school days are the best days of your life.

Uni is waaaaaaaaaaayyy better.
The only thing I miss about school is the feeling that you're in this hell together. You know when you're in a really shitty situation, but you're with friends, so you kind of laugh it off?

I had lots of fun in my school days, and in the last years it was all fun and nothing else, so i miss them a bit. I wouldn't want to go back though, I'm good where I am now.

I still hang out with folk from school, mostly when attending Aberdeen games, so that spirit sort of still exists for me.

Andries, did you go to class much in college? I'm guessing no. I did very rarely.
If college = uni, I'm still in college :D. But I rarely go to class. It's all too slow to be honest. Now I know they go this slow so they can explain literally everything, but I simply fall asleep. And I'm not kidding here. I really fall asleep. I fall asleep rather easily now that I think about it, but that's a different issue.

So how were your grades, Martin?

I'm the same way, but I figure it has more to do with my ability to focus in a lecture. The atmosphere of it makes me drowsy in itself. I don't fall asleep but I do drift off. Even if it's interesting.

So how were your grades, Martin?
Nothing much really. I used to get good grades in my earlier years, but somewhere on the cusp of high school/college I got really lazy and stopped caring as much. In my current program I'm a 7.5 if you know the Dutch system.

That's what I'm hoping.

I never did any Greek literature in school. I had lots of verbal fights with teachers though. I won the vast majority of them too :D.

Congrats.

Why aren't you drunk yet, O'Curr?
Thanks.

Waiting for all my friends to be finished too. This weekend should be fun :D.
I'm hoping to convince at least one of them to come with me to Dublin on Saturday for Shamrock Rovers-Galway United.

I'm afraid not. It's slightly above average I suppose? If so, that's where I am.

It's unfortunate, but teachers usually aren't the greatest minds alive. They tend to be the ones who kind of sucked in uni. Sometimes there's someone who really wanted to become a teacher, but there are few.

You only have 3 exams? I had 7.
We have semesters, with 4 courses in each semester. If I include last semester's exams with this semester, I would also have 7. Plus, these 3 are the hardest subjects I have:
Math
Chemistry
World History (not hard but my teacher did shit all the whole semester. Basically, I have to learn about 5 units in 4 days.)
