They make all kinds. If you mean by "sport bikes" dirt bikes, no they don't make those. But they have bikes that are similar to what Dru likes and they have bikes that are traditionally styled road bikes.

I think it was 2000 when the BMW motorcycle convention rolled into Charleston. I got a good education. It was like Sturgis for Beamers.
Dude, they make all kinds, I just found that out, check it:

Go upper left and look at the 450X and K1300 S...

    Insane!

    Liability?

    There are thousands of liabilities.

    Explain it better for me.
environmental liability which in Ontario comes in three major categories

-criminal, you do something wrong you pay
-civil, you do something wrong to someone's property, you pay
-statutory, the ministry says you broke a regulation, you pay

a coal plant stores all their ash on property, minus some that gets sold. liability is what they pay to make sure that shit stays where it's supposed to be

how to estimate liability of a coal plant. now all i have left is, technologies that can be used to clean the place up once it's decommissioned

    Aaron, any ideas :shifty:
Usually they don't do anything and the place gets turned into a Superfund site.

Look up US Brownfields Management. It's a fairly new program in the US where the government is trying to force companies to clean up the used sites.

Statutory could lead to civil in the sense that around here, coal-powered power plants have to use scrubbers and scrub their smoke stacks every so often. When they don't, or let a little longer go before they do it again, they can burn down or explode, killing people, or over-pollute an area.

I'm not sure I have any better examples, my brain hurts.

McDonald's and Wal-Mart use Fly Ash in their foundation bricks. Check out Fly Ash management or removal too.

It doesn't quite work like that. And I can't think of a coal plant in WV that has installed scrubber technology. Let me look though.

Actually John Amos will fire up one of three scrubbers they're installing possibly this weekend.

If you're interested here App. Power's official statement:

    http://www.appalachianpower.com/news/environmentalControls/default.asp

They are installing scrubber tech in John Amos and Mason County plants.
it's funny how ontario works. here the province (state for our american friends :shifty:) owns the coal plants and they all have had scrubbers and whatnot for a while now, yet an estimated 50% of our air pollution comes from the States

It works out though because 50% of ours comes from Mexico, but we don't get on them because they have 12% of the world's oil reserves.

They better put in scrubbers now while commodity prices are low.

In other news, one of the chief risk managers from Mars said the world dropping the USD as the reserve currency could happen, along with the issuing of a world currency.
