Too hard to explain. You just have to watch it and figure stuff out. The commentators are pretty good at explaining decisions.

I'm never had any inclination to play it, but I enjoy watching Rugby Union, primarily international games.

I'm not a fan of Rugby League, though.

Union is 15 players a side and league is 13 players.

Union has more kicking and scrums, league is much more about running with the 'ball'.

Rugby union is the older form of the game and still gets far more media attention in the UK than league.
