Did you hear, the prosecutor dropped half of the charges.

No more "medhjälp till exemplarframställning".
Really?

No more "medhjälp till exemplarframställning".
That's a ridiculous phrase to use in a computer context and it only goes to show how outdated and out of touch the old laws are for our age. There is no "production" or "manufacture" of information, which is what this whole thing is about in the first place. The companies are not losing money because people are stealing copies. A copy is not worth anything, it costs nothing to produce. And so the whole argument of theft is irrelevant, they still have all their copies in the stores.

If anything it's more similar to trade secrets.

What has been shown in court today is that the prosecutor cannot prove that the .torrent files he is using as evidence actually used The Pirate Bay’s tracker. Many of the screenshots being used clearly state there is no connection to the tracker. Additionally, prosecutor Håkan Roswall didn’t adequately explain the function of DHT which allows for so called “trackerless” torrents.
Hilarious as this is, I have one question. How in the hell does a court allow friggin screenshots as evidence? Is there anything in world easier to fake??
