Well how will your ethernet adapter handle more than 100 Mbits?
Not one that is designed for 100, even if the cable can carry the bandwidth. But all current machines are sold with gigabit ethernet. And if you're stuck with old network adapters you'll just have to replace them.

Btw on the wireless front the new thing is called "draft n". 300mbit, wireless!

my whole building is on fibre optic, well, lots of people in japan are...I will measure it and send u pic later..
