Oh I've been meaning to watch 'Wicked' but I never have the time. How was it? Yeah staying over at family's house is so awkward. I did that all vacation and I hated it. I'm just glad to be able to sleep in my own bed in my own room.

Are you on MSN btw?
Wicked was great. I'm not the biggest fan of such stuff but I do enjoy a nice show from time to time. That one was great; fantastic seats, top notch leads in the whole joint, I'd certainly recommend it. Stagework was superb as well. Plot became interesting after the first few scenes.

I certainly feel you there. Staying in someone else's bed while drinking their alcohol is not the best feeling.

Indeed, I am for a bit.

Ok.
I also think that the justice is on your side and i'm tempted to use your first avatar  ......... but i don't think i'll be able to handle reading the reply of one certain member.

Andy, yes, that's the most stupid dispute in the universe. The stronger country is forbidding the weaker country to use it's name and it's forcing it to change it's name.

It's like me telling you to change your name because my son is also called Andy, and then i tell you to change your name to "The northern American Andy" or to "Former Detroit citizen Andy".
If you don't do it i will threaten you with a ban and i will take your access from the most interesting threads.
There is/was some juicy discussion going on via PM with one certain member, I was thinking of asking one of the moderators to increase my PM quota... ;)

I don't get it. As long as they don't kill anybody, I don't really care.
Me too actually, they can even call themselves as "The leaders of Humanity" for all i care:p
There is nothing wrong between us individually.
The only real issue, is the territorial (and historical) claims, they have in mind...
This can only be provocative for the country they threaten, not anyone else...
This is the main issue in the balkans anyway.
An amalgam of nations tries to find their place in history and a piece of land, that there was never actually theirs (at least before the Slavic tribes invasions)
This is where most of the problems begun in the entire region.

Hopefully, we will not see any border change and a new "Kosovo" in the 2009...

Which happened 1500 years ago.
If someone lives in one place for 1 500 years then i think it's safe to say that it is their land.

What happens to the ones that lives 4000+ years then??
(the very someones, that never actually disappeared for 3000 years or so)

Either of us is eligible to judge if one man has more rights than someone else to live in a region or not.
Out of respect of human life and rights we must all live and let live (peacefully)
Creating more conflicts and have territorial claims, only to re-adjust once more some social groups, is def not the way though.
Its 2009, things have changed, we all have a lot of things to lose in an event of a war.
No matter how desperate some one may be, the war is the last solution.
(but some leaders are manipulated or turn into that solution to unify their population, creating a common threat/enemy)
In modern Europe, every man, part of a nation that respects the international laws, have the right, to work, travel and live in any other, civilized, country he wishes.
That would on theory resolve half of the reasons/motives that driven to wars in history.
The control of a regime and its resources, is the only real issue today!
It saddens me to see us, letting external forces to create wars only for that reason,
a temporal change of the regime that would only favor their temporal financial interests, sacrificing/convincing thousand of innocent lives, of this and the next generation, through the process.

The Balkans have been repeatedly proved fool enough to let other ppl abuse them and multiply their problems...
Instead of unification and stability, we only seek problems that would threaten the lives of our children...

The Balkan ppl are way to desperate and their internal conflicts are blinding them. Desperate ppl have very few things, or nothing to lose.
The war brings major changes. These major changes bring many new opportunities.
And they do crave for these opportunities...
This what those territorial claims aim for, the last for new opportunities,
the hope for a better life.
A life than cannot be enhanced under the current circumstances.

"The rest of my post is for Andy alone"
Political and financial analists claim that the economical crisis the US, had inherited to the world can only be "cured", by a large distraction.
Andy, a new Kosovo, is expected.
The desperate Albanians, are ready for war at any moment.
They want the great Albany, because they are led to believe that creating that, would be the bane of their social problems.
So adding the independent Kosova to their country and half of the weak FYROM, seem to be a realistic target to their cause.
The FYROM competent leaders so the threat of extinction, they need to unite their ppl (including the vast Albanian minority) under a common enemy, the Greeks!!!
A realistic scenario for a new war is set and the motivation for the US to provide the means is already there!
The FYROM leaders, also needed a reason to exist, an aspiring reason, able to motive them ppl and make them proud of their origins.
A reason that could unite all the ppl of the region.
Tito was a genius of conceiving that plan!!
The new "Macedonia" has arisen and a couple of generations have been cropped that way, they know no other truth and they will be loyal to this cause until the very end!!

On the other hand, the incompetent and weak leadership of Greece, sees no benefits from the event of war.
Despite the fact that our air force alone can burn them from side to side, in a couple of hours. Despite the real historic evidence that gives us real reasons to territorial claims to their lands, we stepped back and this weakness allowed them to smell our fear and push forward!
Being provocative and unchecked! We underestimated them so much, that we even allowed them to pose themselves as the real victims and use our power and martial superiority, against us.
But we are very well aware, that many other desperate Balkan countries only seek an excuse to participate in a generalized war, that would give them more opportunities to expansion.
This region is very delicate and vulnerable. Making threats and territorial claims could lead into a very unfortunate chain reaction...

So Andy, this is the reason we, the Greeks, cannot accept them to take this name and use it as a stronghold to their future territorial claims.
Claiming a land and wanting to sack a population of 2 mil, only because a population of 1-15.000 emigrants moved in, uninvited, when we were occupied by a third a country, is totally unacceptable!!
However, we tried to co-exist with them peacefully, but they supported,
a civil unrest that led into a civil war, pledging alliance with the communist parts, of Slavo-Russian origin, that took part at a certain time.

Not to mention the fact, that they want to keep the fully copy rights of Alexander the great, one of the greatest symbol of our history, as an exclusive right, a copy right they wouldnt even share into a percentage,
but this issue is only the smokescreen...
