We're like children.
We do stick together, we're great mates. Look at this forum for example. Me, vlatko, dule, zaim, gogo, xcen3x, juve_fanatic, arif.....we're all great friends here. If you understood our language you'd have seen that the Balkan thread is the most friendly one, with jokes flying around all the time.
My brother lives in Chicago and he shares the house with a Croat, Serb and a Montenegrin guy. And they're all great friends.

We play together, we laugh together and then someone says a silly thing and we start fighting. We don't speak to eachother for few days and then like nothing happened we start playing together, until some new fight starts.
We're like real children.
It is not up to us Alen. If it was, the Balkan would have blossemed now. Instead it is in the hands of power-seeking, money-loving bitches who would trample over their own mothers just to achieve what they want. My fathers brothers live in Pristina and Belgrad, i lived in Lastovo for 4 years so understand what you say. I have friends with different nationalities and we all manage just fine. But this politics are killing us all!!

This part is SO true because I grown up with serbs, bosnians and croats, not alot, but few. They can be THE nicest guys one second, best pals, silly banter, and suddenly turn into ferocious beasts, up eachother throats, seriously making me think they might stab eachother like they are their worst enemies (usually was 2 of them that allways crossed the line in this arguments, the rest were just using strong words, but these two throwing chairs at eachother, and then not talk to eachother at school for days, giving eachother the evil eye haha), all because someone made a jokish comment about the war, and things escalated from there (really shows how powerful and ugly nationalism can be, Jeez). It was really bizzare, like a Pavlonian reaction, just a switch going off, and them changing into aggressive hateful mode.

In other words, the Balkan is fucked!! Its not safe maaan, things are hanging by the (dont know how the phrase went :D ). But my point is that thing are really fucked up. Every country has a problem with onother country in the Balkan. Alens country has also a problem with their neighbouring country. The probllem blew so much out of proportions that a war may be started. Its fucked up in here Andy!!

One of my favorite quotes seems to sum your points up rather well.

"In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule." - Friedrich Nietzsche

Politicians really are the banes of most nations. I am really all over the place with political views, hoping one can be more thoughtful than the other side, but I cannot stop becoming more pessimistic with leaders people elect. It will probably end up with me not following politics whatsoever, as they are in essence based on lies, so what the hell is the point anyway.

I voted for Obama and he appoints two people I despise. Figures.

I actually just got back last night to start the studying and I am loving it especially since I just got back from the holidays from hell. I got three more days to fit in all my studying.

How was your New Years?

Sounds like a good time.

No I can't go to the Bowl this year. I tried but I ended up just giving my tickets away . Pretty disappointed about my whole holiday really. It kinda sucks getting like 2 weeks off only and coming back to finals so you got to study. When do you go back to school?

Yeah, I'm sure it isn't very pleasant, and they shouldn't concoct the semester like they do there for grad students. That's not kind on anybody.

I have a week off so I'm back on Monday the 12th.

Was great, went to see 'Wicked' in the theatre, same crew on Broadway I'm led to believe. Thought it was great. Saw some hockey games but as always it was awkward staying over with family to say the least, as always.

Oh I've been meaning to watch 'Wicked' but I never have the time. How was it? Yeah staying over at family's house is so awkward. I did that all vacation and I hated it. I'm just glad to be able to sleep in my own bed in my own room.

Are you on MSN btw?
