In the meantime I got a few files back with a program xXx sent my way but unfortunately the less important ones.

I'm clueless.

I guess i was lucky i went with Streamer One.
The links for the chinesse site and streamer one were posted one after the other and i was thinking which one should i try.
I remembered that streamer one provides great picture and luckily i made the right choice.

I've never used an iPod in my life, nor would I wish too, but that "enable disk use" option looks interesting.

You have wasabi in hindi cuisine? I thought we were the only ones who used it, it's well known in Poland, I've never seen it anywhere else. Then earlier this year I saw it in a sushi restaurant.

Que? You can store arbitrary files on just about any portable player. It's basically a built in usb stick.

Thats the next plan...

Click the use disk option... Eject your iPod and connect again... you'll get an icon in My Computer... Open the path and see if there are any other folders other than iPod_Control inside...

I tried that but nothing happens. I'm going to try to disconnect and reconnect it like you said.

It's an old 4gb mini iPod. I bought it in like 2003 or something.

Bound to be, yeah. From what little I know about ipods, they have this "database server" that holds metadata about all the files, you can't just copy files to the filesystem, it has to go through the database. Just recently Apple decided to sue someone who published info about how the database works.

1. Use the restore feature to return to original state
2. Scream "Fuck Apple Merda"

Did you check how much space each folder is using up?

I once gave a friend of mine some avocado aka wasabi & needless to say the results were disasterous.The best part was when he took two spoons full of it & he nearly collapsed.
