i agree that MBs have more of a classy prestige but martin is right about beamers equating to youth. its more sporty and yet keeps a classy urban feel.

rehan, did you have a DINAN or Schnitzer kit?
i'm not sure, it had the M badge on the side, and side skirts, large lowered bumber and lip spoiler at the back

but yea, i loved the car, had really nice m3 alloys too, was black, only a 1.9l but for an 18 year old any higher was not possible, and the girls loved it too, most of the guys my age were rolling around in really crappy cars, to have a newish gold was liek woah, so a bmw was like :juventus: those were the days

Lets see BMW,Audi or Lexis top the Maybach Exelero!
on it

well it's an unusual one. But if you really want to go exotic I'd have the Bugatti Veyron, so don't make me pop my trump card :D

still, when people are talking bmw/mercedes, I don't think this is the kind of car that comes up much, they're can't be many of them on the roads

i would take an M3, M5, M6 over any SLK -- even if its AMG
C63>>>>M3,E63>>>>M5/6,the slk range competes with the bmw convertible range.

my cousin has the bmw 120d, good car, economical and has is decent to drive, he got it in silver though, yuck!

@ byron, slk is GAY period!! get some balls and get an SL!!!

I wouldnt but an slk for myself its more for the ladies.Id kill for an slr 722.

Runs in the family, so I'm sentimental to it. Also excellent safety record, Saabs have always been quite heavy and robust.
Saab is a very underrated car in South Africa but extremely overpriced.I might not consider buying it cause i just see it as a housewives car,no offence.:D
