Why do you have a * after each of your posts? Conditions Apply :D?
it's some fuck up with Opera. im used to pressing Tab+Space to highlight and press the Submit button, but for some reason, it's not working. so tab+space is leaving the *.

But that doesn't install it in a separate partition, does it?

you can select ANY partition. either a blank partition or one that's in use. if it has enough free space, then it will create a folder alled Ubuntu and install all the files into it. no need to format it to ext3 or anything like that! it's much more convenient.

I think you can download and run wubi, and put the iso in the same directory, and that will work. Otherwise wubi will try to download the iso in the course of its work.

What the heck is Ubuntu? It sounds like one of the tribes I fucked up in my previous life as Shaka Zulu. Ahhh...good times.
Come one, come all, to my wonderful world of knowing.

Ubuntu is a linux distribution. Your next question is what is linux. The helpdesk is in.

Btw ubuntu is an African word indeed. South African.

no need to download it again. Wubi has been integrated with the live CD.

Have any of you been told that a product that's been bought abroad is "grey"?Im having big issues with local manufacturers making customers think that products imported from a country other than South Africa is "illegal" so to speak.
