The iPhone is gonna start selling here soon and I can't believe...I'm considering.
Dru, we have a live one
don't worry martin, i'm on it! :D

@vlat

dude don't waste your time, its not worth it. its far too frustrating to use and maintain. even if you unlock it, the unauthorized 3rd party apps can zap your phone dead and you will be left helpless.

not to promote for t-mo or google or htc.. but wait for the HTC Dream/G1 when its released in your area. its way better, more stable and functional. not to mention OPEN SOURCE foundation per its OS platform.

just don't go for the iphone, its not worth it dude

Dru, i think HTC will have to come up with a better looking phone to challenge iPhone.. the G1, even though rich in features, look like a plastic play phone... more than the features people go for the iPhone (at least in India) because of its sleek looks and touch screen... so until HTC comes out with a sleek looking phone the iPhone will still sell in numbers...
i think Asus is bringing out the next android handset... read it on some blog somewhere on the net...

HTC created this phone from its mogul series

they brought in functionality and ergonomics to rival iphones "cool" sleek design.

trust me, i've had the iphone and can tell you in all honesty that its not user friendly. its impossible to type on a virtual keyboard. the phone itself is like holding a flat piece of metal which gets hot in your hand when you charge it. the software is too proprietary (even after you unlock/jailbreak it)

i've been selling mobile's for about 10 years now ever since i high school and i've been through alot of high end phones. but the iphone is only maintaining its status because of marketing and hype. its not a good piece of technology.

if you want to use the argument that they pioneered the "touch" screen then you are wrong. palm actually brought that to the forefront to consumers with their PDA's and their treo handsets.

apple sucks. martin knows exactly what i'm talking about. the best products they make are their notebooks and computers, but in the handheld mobile device sector they are experiencing short success but will be unable to sustain this in the long term.

and finally on top of all that, you need a wireless carrier with a solid 3G network. in the u.s., at&t has the worst 3G coverage, while t-mobile has the newest and the best 3G coverage with the best signal. so if you dont have a provider who can supplement the phones then its all pointless in the end.

i didn't say apple pioneered the touch... but they publicised it more than anything else ever... if it was me i'd go for the G1 over the iPhone... but majority of the people i know would still go for the iPhone over the G1... i'd never like another person/company telling me what to do/buy... so no locked phone for me... but the marketing and sleekiness of the iPhone still makes people buy it... thats why a lot of phones claiming to be iPhone killers have come and gone... mainly because no other phone has been able to bring a hype like the iPhone... the G1 is the closest yet because of the Android platform... but i feel to sell in numbers they need to appeal to the masses... and for that looks are a criterion as much as the features... again from the Indian perspective here... the iPhone 3G still sells here even though we are light years from getting 3G on our networks...

did you manage to jailbreak the G1 yet?

No. What's your purpose though, to reduce glare?
It reduces glare, it can take away lens flare and most importantly, it enhances contrast. The biggest use of it is when shooting a blue sky especially with some white clouds, the blue becomes bluer and the white whiter.

When shooting cars with a tint for example, it fills the whole wind shield with the tint colour so nicely.

What's the size of your lens? I have a spare 52 mm circular polarizing I can send you.
