Laughing hysterically or finding no humor in it at all will be your worst-case scenarios. Best if he gets a small chuckle, then you'll probably be assured that he won't shoot up the school within six months if he doesn't make tenure. :scared:
This professor is an amicable guy. The MOST friendly professor I've ever had, and perhaps the best. He has so much passion for what he teaches it's scary, and he worked my ass off during my Radiative Transfer class.

Just got in. Nailed my paper and presentation, kept class discussion going for 30 minutes. Now I'm going to have a beer and a lie down.

I like giving talks, just the right combo of fear and excitement.
I like to see the looks on the people's faces when you start to kill it. Some are listening intently, others have a look of surprise, and most are like WTF I didn't know this guy was smart. Then you ask some thought provoking questions at the end and the hippies are just stunned.
