Not that Obama doesn't deserve his critics, but ridiculous existential debates like those of the birthers shouldn't be one of them. This is why this reads like a pretty well-crafted move, IMO. It puts him on the offensive, it mocks his factually deficient detractors, and it raises funds. Trifecta.
