I've never understood why a place like California feels the need to advertise on TV, same goes for Australia.

If they were speaking about a great, cheap travel deal it would make sense, but they are just trying to remind us that these places exist.

Couldn't the same be said for a lot of ads though? There are loads of ads for hugely popular products like Coca Cola.
