I agree there Andy, Leno just took it to another level with Charlie tonight. You don't kick people when they are down.
Leno has milked all the jokes around, and Letterman is boring.

Jimmy Kimmel and Graig Ferguson are hands down the funniest in the business, and classy too.

Detroit is alright, plenty of work to get this city back on its feet
Michigan is great in general, except for Dearborn. I could stand the city, since I didn't get a long with the Arabs there. They were just too much for my liking!

thanks broseppi i also rep the tigers every now and then, btw i do like detroit and mich. in general, really wish motown gets cleaned up
I know that. ;) The downtown areas are working on it. Perhaps if we get the Pistons downtown we'll see some expansion by businesses. Not a big fan of the casino life but they're here to stay.

The Ilitch family should buy the Pistons, move the Red Wings to the Palace for one season, take down the Joe, build a new Arena, and move both the Wings and the Pistons there. I do appreciate what this family has done to Detroit and the surrounding Areas

They probably will buy the Pistons. But moving the Wings out to the Palace for a year won't work. Have you ever been out there? It's a disaster of epic proportions. Only one way in by car, no mass transit, no shuttles from the two nearby bars. It's a horror show, and why I hate going to Pistons games.

There's got to be a better way to do this. Talking with my uncle at Christmas, he was thinking they'd build an entire new venue away from the Joe that would house the Wings and Pistons. The Joe would be bought by Cobo Hall and the new arena would be somewhere near the Fox Theatre. That sounds OK, but I love the Joe's location.

I guess in the long run, whatever brings out the best outcome for the ambiance of the downtown area is OK with me.

yes casinos need to go, and they need to tear down all those decrepit buildings downtown, turn em to parks or something
The idiots in city council don't like that proposition, considering you'd destroy a city "landmark." But at the same time they say nay against restoring. Brilliant city planners in Detroit.

Long day ahead of me at the university. I am off to bed. Good night Ladies and gents.

@ 3EBlind: Let the Arabs fight for their rights and enjoy some fresh air, as long they don't start turning the countries into Sharia law controlled states. There is nothing wrong with trying to get freedom.

I have been to the Palace twice, I agree that the location of the Arena in Auburn Hills isn't ideal to host a professional sport team. transportation is utterly poor. I had my acceptance from Oakland university in the Chemical engineering department, nearby the Palace, so I frequently visited the city back then, good old days. The Joe location is perfect, but the Arena itself can barley host one team, and isn't in great condition as of recently. I still think building a new arena in the Joe location would be perfect. The question then, would Cobo be able to host both teams until a new Arena is built there.
