I hear there is a ranging debate in the UK about whether it should be math or maths. A bunch of people are very insistent on maths, apparently so they can be different from the Americanos yet again without any reason for it.

It's always the tiniest issues that get the biggest flamewars, cause the outcome is inconsequential and it doesn't take any knowledge to participate.
