May I suggest that you find 1, preferably 2, making sure they are of suitable quality- stay away from cheap alcohol- and stick with them. Be as specific as possible.
Is that a new form of drink every day or every year or just at every opportunity?

Anyway, it's one of the better resolutions I've heard.
No -- just for the year. It seemed like a pretty achievable and worthy goal.

A couple years ago, I had never had real rye whiskey (OK, whisky). Americans have spent many decades replacing it with bourbon, but it ain't right. So I made it a point to try some good stuff and buy a bottle.

Last year it was good pisco.

Go grappa then:

and treat yourself to the appropriate glasses as it tastes that little bit better.

I always find the correct glass makes the drink so much better.

How about:

Calvados in the correct glass.
I can drink a brandy but I am not a big fan, cognac is slightly better but still not a real fan. Give me a rich single malt any day, last night I enjoyed an Aberlour 12 years old, of course we started exploring it just after midnight.

I love a calvados. I love many schnapps.

For me though the crown of spirits is whiskey. Single malt, doesn't have to be one of those fancy ones from the Scottish glens deep in tradition and with highland names- in truth it's all just a recent marketing, although I do like double malt too, but they must be from Scotland or Ireland, at this moment I am indulging myself in a Talisker.

I tasted a Japanese single malt the other day, it was really nice I just can't remember the name. I like the Talisker but never owned a bottle, maybe it's time.

I have to say when it comes to drink I am a huge snob, I will never drink a Rioja from anywhere other than Spain, or any wine unless it is European, and by European I mean Spain, Italy, Germany or France, and that applies to my spirits, by which I mean that I drink whiskey from a country with a rich tradition of making it, the same for grappa, schnapps, brandy et al, as well as port and mead.
